I just wonder how many other cases are out there like this?

This is very local to me and you rarely hear anything about this case! Poor Ella and family!

Is the FBI involved? Did they get involved right away? Because time would have been of the essence to find clues (digital, security camera footage from the neighborhood, etc.) right after she went missing.

How sad that she was moved from foster home to foster home. She has such deep trauma, understandably. She and her adoptive family needed better support all along.

I can't believe they removed her from the adoptive home into yet another temporary home that also had a baby living there and clearly wasn't capable of helping such a traumatized teenager.

The following explains in great detail Emma’s story and answers a lot of questions, especially why she is believed to be in great danger.
Poor kid. Prayers for this courageous family.

Her adoptive parents have a lawsuit against DCS. Very unsettling information but the article does give some back history of Elle and well as earlier incident(s) when she ran away and was located. https://www.thestarpress.com/story/...ue-dcs-over-how-case-was-handled/86308880007/
Oof, this is such a tough one. On one hand, the family seems genuinely devoted to keeping her safe. On the other hand, I’ve seldom heard happy stories from my friends who spent their childhoods in foster care and I hate to ever question a child’s accusation of abuse - even knowing this can be a common manipulation (for lack of a better word) tactic by victims of historical abuse. And the other two children removed too? How many children do they have in their care? I can’t imagine how much work it must take to care for multiple child with complex trauma.

I don’t know where I’m going with this other than reacting directly to the article. I wonder how the journalist knew the abuse accusations were false?

I’m always a bit triggered by these stories of young girls trying to maintain romantic relationships with men by any means necessary. There is so much extrapolate there.
