Prosecutor weighs charges in boy's death

Roger Rayl, a spokesman for Prosecutor Carl Brizzi, said authorities will consider filing a charge of murder against Gerardo P. Jaramillo in connection with the injuries believed to have caused his son's death Sunday.

Emanuel Tentle, 7 months, died at a foster home about 7 a.m., the Marion County Sheriff's Department said.

Jaramillo, 26, was charged with aggravated battery and released on bond after Emanuel was taken to the hospital on Dec. 6 with injuries police say were caused by shaken-baby syndrome.

I don't know what's going on with this case. It's listed as "pending" still, but nothing seems to have happened since the surety was released in 2006.
