The first thing I thought of when looking at this UID is that they might be a victim of Indianapolis serial killer Herb Baumeister, who found young male victims at area gay bars. April 1992 was between his last known killing where he dumped a victim's body along a roadside or in a ditch (August 1991) and his first known murder where he dumped a victim's body in the woods of his 18 acre farm (May 1993); which he continued to do until July 1996 when he fled to Ontario when a warrant was issued for his arrest and killed himself.

Mark Tomich went missing from Indianapolis on March 5th 1992. He was 28 years old, 5'9" and 163lbs. From the Charley Project "Tomich was last seen in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 4, 1992. He worked as an organic chemist for the Eli Lilly pharmaceutical company at the time of his disappearance, and was last seen leaving home to go to work.

His brother, whom he lived with, stated he took a shower as usual that morning, said goodbye and left at his usual time, between 6:15 and 6:30 a.m. He never arrived at work and has never been heard from again. After his disappearance, his white 1990 BMW was found locked and abandoned in the company parking lot.

According to his family, Tomich wasn't having any personal problems or problems at work when he went missing. Authorities learned he had withdrawn a four-figure sum of cash from his company savings account about a month before he was last seen; they don't know why or whether this was related to his disappearance.

He is described as a person of extremely regular habits, and it's uncharacteristic of him to leave without warning. His case remains unsolved"

This man (who was actually a dismembered torso and not just “partial remains”) was identified as Tony Bledsoe and two of his friends were recently arrested for his murder: https://fox5sandiego.com/news/arres...iana-father-found-without-head-hands-or-feet/

The news stories all say the body was identified in 2018 (but this information was only made public this May) so I have no idea why it was added to NamUs in 2024.
