Indianapolis crime: Boy feared visit with father days before death

Ten-year-old Nakota Kelly asked his mother early last week whether he was going to spend the weekend with his father in Indianapolis.

Yes, she told him. His reaction was immediate. He was afraid.

"Oh, I’m dead. Don’t expect me to come home," he replied. "My dad is going to kill me."

———————————————————
On Tuesday, police arrested and charged Nakota's father, 37-year-old Anthony Dibiah, in his son's murder. In doing so, they released horrific details in the 10-year-old Wabash boy's death.

The nature of the homicide is, in itself, shocking: Dibiah, according to a police affidavit, said he put a plastic bag over his son's head until he suffocated. He then took the boy into the bathroom to "to make sure he was dead" and then dumped the body.

——————————————————

According to People Magazine, Missing Boy Believed Dead After Allegedly Telling Mother 'Dad is Going to Kill Me' Ahead of Visit

The probable cause affidavit alleges that investigators arrived at Dibiah's residence at around 11:45 a.m. on Sunday but found no sign of him or Nakota. Instead, they found what appeared to be "blood spatter, blood smears and brain matter" in the apartment's bathroom.

There was also a small amount of blood in the apartment's entrance, the paper reports.

The search for Nakota's body continues, and will likely stretch into Missouri, after cell phone records revealed Dibiah had made several pre-dawn trips to the state Sunday morning.

Nakota Kelly's death: What we know about the case, father's arrest

On Saturday night, a distant relative of Dibiah called 911 saying Dibiah had just called and said he killed his son, according to a probable-cause affidavit.

When officers went to Dibiah’s apartment near West 10th Street and I-465 and knocked on the door, they received no answer, but found no reason to force entry, so they left.

Then, on Sunday morning, a different officer spoke with a friend of Dibiah who said Dibiah called them asking to borrow a suitcase. After agreeing, the affidavit states, the friend said Dibiah called back and said he killed his son.

We are not allowed, she is a victim in this. Very sad

If you read comments on MSM articles, they are already blaming the mother for letting him go to his fathers. That woman has enough to deal with IMO

Nakota went missing from the 6000 block of West Lake South Drive near 10th and 465 on the west side of Indianapolis.
Does anyone here have any ideas where the father may have taken him? Search ideas?
Any old addresses for the father?

In the People article linked above, it says this:

I just read about this one and I pray they find his body so his family that loved him can get some closure this is so sad. So many children being murdered by the ones who are supposed to love and protect them it's horrible. On another note I wonder if the father thought that putting out those messages saying "sometimes I hear voices" is his way to attempt a mental health defense or if he did have some kind of mental health history?

Officers are continuing to search for Kelly’s body. Investigators say Dibiah’s phone has been pinged around the 4500 block of W. Vermont Ave., near Eagle Creek.

How are several pre-dawn trips to Missouri possible? Indianapolis to St Louis is approx 245 miles, 3.5 hours. I picked St. Louis because it seems the closest point in MO to IN. Could be anywhere in MO.
