Man's Body Found In Burning Garage
Burned severely in garage and barn fire about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, the body of a man believed to be Clarence Roberts, 52, was taken to Indianapolis today in an effort to establish positive, identity. The body was found about 8 p.m. after Brown county volunteer firemen were able to stop flames in a four to 5-car garage and barn at the Roberts home on Road 135 north of Nashville at the Grandma Barnes road: Remains of a single-barrel 16-gauge shotgun were beside the body. Jack Bond, deputy coroner of Brown county, said the body is being taken to Marion county General hospital where an autopsy to determine identity and exact cause of death will be conducted by Dr.

Interestingly, Clarence and his wife were found dead after another fire at the same place almost a decade later. I came across this John Doe when searching for information on a missing Kentucky man who was ruled out as being a match. I wasn’t able to find anything suggesting the Kentucky man was ever located or this UID was ever identified.
