Please take a few moments to look at the following pictures, and keep your eyes peeled. We are trying to locate Mr. Robert Mottinger and get him home safely to his family. Robert Mottinger has been missing since 12/08/2018 at 11 am when he left his home driving his 2012 Red Dodge Ram, which is also pictured in the photos. If you have any information, please do not hesitate to call us at 219-787-9411. A Silver Alert is being issued and will go out shortly. Thank you in advance for any and all effort you put forth to help bringing Mr. Mottinger home safely.

Burns Harbor Police Department

Mottinger was last seen 11 a.m. Saturday in Burns Harbor leaving his house to go to a storage facility to grab a humidifier less than a minute away from his home, family said.

Robert's son Ryan Mottinger, 43, of Westville, said his father left with just his jacket and truck, leaving his phone and wallet at home. Family believes he intended to return, he said.

He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.

He also has multiple tattoos, including an eagle on one shoulder, a cross on his chest and barbed wire on both arms. He was driving a red 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 four-door pickup with Indiana license plates reading VOF590 and an “American flag/eagle-designed bug deflector on the front.”
