NW Indiana authorities searching for new information in 2003 cold case murder

Authorities in northwest Indiana have renewed their pleas for information in the cold case murder of a woman whose body was discovered more than 20 years ago.

''Relatives reported 42-year-old Ronda McGregor missing in January 2003, a few weeks after she had last been seen, according to the Lake County Prosecutor's Homicide Taskforce. Four months later, in April, McGregor's remains were found along U.S. Route 12 west of County Line Road by a man walking alongside the road.

The Lake County Coroner's Office ruled McGregor's death a homicide.''
