Tai Doss, 22, from Beloit, WI was found dead just after midnight on January 11, 2003. Doss’ body was found in the trunk of a burning car in Hammond, IN. Doss was last seen in Beloit, WI when she dropped her daughter off at her parents house. She told her parents she was going to work.
Tai Doss was stabbed in the neck, shot in the right shoulder and the back of the head.
Murder victim identified as Wisconsin woman
There were a few leads in the case and the Beloit Police Department interviewed Donald Gilmore. Gilmore’s half-brother, Russell Cage, dated Doss and was a person of interest. Another person police wanted to interview was a man named Randall Thomas. Cage and Thomas’ whereabouts at the time were unknown.
