26-year-old Taylor Gessner was arrested on suspicion of child molestation after blood was found in the diapers of children who he babysat. He is currently being held in Grant County Jail on preliminary charges of child molestation, rape and neglect of a dependent.
According to the Marion Police Department, officers were called to a hospital in Fort Wayne after a mother brought her children in for an examination. The mother had reportedly found blood in the children’s stool while changing their diapers and suspected Gessner of raping them since he had been babysitting them. After a sexual assault examination, doctors determined the children were likely violated in some form and physically abused.
Sheriff’s deputies located Gessner in Fowlerton. He was brought to the Marion Police Department for questioning and arrested shortly afterward. No official charges have been filed yet. The Grant County Prosecutor’s Office will examine the investigative findings and make final charging decisions.
