Gardai have issued an appeal for help in tracing missing Wicklow woman Barbara Bracken.

Barbara was last seen in Bray at around 11.30am on Tuesday, February 22.

She is described as being approximately 5 foot 8 inches in height with a medium build, brown hair and brown eyes.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardai and Barbara's family are concerned for her welfare.

"Anyone with information on Barbara's whereabouts are asked to contact Bray Garda Station on 01 6665300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."

Apparently she was last seen walking towards the seafront at approximately 7am that morning, which was the last sighting of her. I do wonder if the poor lady might have been swept out to sea.

The month of February was wet and windy in Ireland at the time, particularly from the middle of the month onwards. From met.ie annual report of Ireland's weather 2022.

"A powerful Jetstream steered three named storms, Dudley, Eunice and Franklin, close to or over the country mid-month"

Sadly, taking coastal walks in dangerous weather is very common place here.

There isn't a lot of information given to the public on this. No idea about her state of mind that day, if she could have been due to meet anyone, or if she even had her phone on her.
