That is not sleuthing, he is open to help as he has appealed for any tip that helps bring imelda home to be allowed rest in peace and the family have closure
If you would like to contact him and suggest he read what I wrote, and look at Jenniifer's post-mortem,or suggest otherwise that is OK with me. I no longer have a Facebook account due to all of the political stuff in the US. I stopped using it over a year ago because I just could not handle all of the negativity infighting among people and the disgusting stuff popping up when scrolling.

Edited: I do think a DNA comparison would be a great idea. It could put to rest any of the conflicts between the two such as the isotopes and the dental work Jennifer had done.

I will look him up but I will do it anonymously as ireland is small and I don't want to be identified in the comments ❤️ I will copy and paste what you wrote 😉

@su5ie I understand! Sometimes I check myself when sharing things in context that could give away identity. It is good to be cautious.

I have visited Ireland. It's lovely, and I understand not wanting attention for something like this. I don't either. Would just like to help, if possible.

In ireland , its not that everyone knows one another but it is easier to identify someone through the six degrees of separation and while I would like more than anything to help the families of the missing. I do understand that the suspect in her case , is a very violent man

Strontium testing carried out on Jennifer's teeth showed that she grew up in Germany.

Thank you @Konstantin

I did mention this above as a caveat. There have been cases where it has been wildly off in the past. "Beth Doe"/ Evelyn Colon is one that comes to mind. Prior to being identified as a young woman who grew up In New Jersey, she was believed to have been Central European based on isotope analyisis.

I'm not saying this is the case here, only I think it could be worth comparing DNA to rule out, if available for both.

This video states Imelda has "striking blue eyes" (similar to Jennifer) , and a keen interest in fashion, but does also mention Imelda having PERFECT TEETH...

Now I do not know how much stock we can put into this absent dental records. It could be subjective, meaning she took care of her teeth. I can see that, she does have a nice smile. The dental work "Jennifer" had was cosmetic on visible teeth--porcelain--and then some work on teeth that were not visible. Dental records for Imelda was also be helpful, although there would be time enough to have dental work done if the same person.

This video is interesting as it also has a lot of photos of Imelda I have never seen:

Hopefully it is Websleuths approved. It has been quite awhile since I have shared a video.

A few images from the video link above, in case they are helpful for identifying Imelda:

Appreciate your research 🙏

I've looked into this case and the general consensus is that the guy living with her killed her . She had a number of injuries in the run up to her disappearance and he has refused to help , as we say in ireland he is a prick

Her behaviour was unusual for the season that was in it , unopened gifts , etc she was close to her family but did not see them over Christmas

Imelda was on the dole and didn't have much money . Her partners excuse that she went to collect her dole is fictitious as AFAIK post office was closed and people would have recieved a double week of money on the Monday before Xmas and probably either collected it on the Friday or would not be due to be paid till the following week

I genuinely don't think Imelda left the country or trafficked out . Ireland was a different place back then . Crimes like that didn't really exist . Yes women disappeared but generally it was those close to them that murdered them and with no cctv , it was and has been harder to prove and locate their remains

I will revisit some of the details and come back to it as I haven't read up about imelda in a long time

But I can say this Dublin was the most advanced in terms of police force , tech and was becoming a metropolitan city but surrounding counties were still towns were everyone knew each others business and there wasn't much strangers and if there was one it stuck out like a sore thumb

Yes, it is sadly almost always the people closest to women who harm us.

I knew she was on the dole, but I also caught something about her being "under pressure" and other stuff that I was not sure if it referred to domestic violence or could possibly have been something else going on in her life that they were hoping people who knew her then might come forward about.

My logic was, and is, there are enough similarities that a comparison to rule them out seems a good idea. If DNA is available for both, it would be simple.

I will go ahead and submit a tip to the Norwegian Press, as doing so cannot cause any harm. It is possible someone else has already suggested given the timeframe.

Just a few thoughts on this...

Imelda was taking a computer course, so she possibly was in contact with people her partner, typical friend group and family had no knowledge of. This could definitely be the case if her partner was abusive. Maybe someone took an interest in Imelda? (This could be true regardless of what happened to her--not just putting this forth for the "Jennifer Fairgate" theory.)

I am a DV survivor. Leaving on the guise of an errand like the one she allegedly ran seems plausible to me as it would not cause suspicion in the abuser. Having everything in your place left as normal would be the way most would do it. I am puzzld why she would leave her cat, but IF she left, maybe the intention was to go back for it or she felt so frightened by the abusive boyfriend that it seemed the only way out?

I DO see the issues where the partner was the last one to have seen her and the timeline to December of 1993 possibly being in play. as well. It is murky and not really clear if Imelda was in her flat on the 3rd of Jan 1994 to run any errands. We have the word of the partner and then the woman who thinks she saw Imelda crossing the street near the hotel.

Imelda may have entered the hotel and met someone? Do we know if they ever checked cctv for that hotel? Did it exist at the time or was it just tapes copied over and never looked at?

It is also entirely possible that she was killed by her boyfriend, certainly. If that is the case, I wonder why her remains have never been found? It seems not for lack of searching?
