Is it possible to block certain forums from showing up when clicking on New Posts?

Since this thread is hijacked already, and the original issue still open, I'll bump it with another minor annoyance. This might be an easy one for resolution. I have already accepted it as one of the quirky things that make WS what it is. So if it's permanant, no biggy.

Re: Navigating subscribed threads.

The old version:
From WS menu, Under quick links, View Subscribed threads, takes you to the folder called General and New, the default folder.
Down at the bottom of page 1 is a link that is labeled - View ALL subscribed threads.
Clicking this button would change the view to include all the threads in G&N plus any custom subfolders made by the member.

The new version:
From WS menu, Under quick links, View Subscribed threads, takes you to the folder called General and New, the default folder. (same)
Down at the bottom of page 1 is a link that is labeled - View ALL threads. (same)
Clicking this button does not change the view, at all. It takes you nowhere because it takes you to the same folder you're in already, General and New. The only way to get to view ALL for real, is the dropdown of all the folders a member has made that is back at the top. (not same)

Again, this is not a pressing issue. I've broken my habit of using the View ALL button to View ALL. :)
Enjoy the weekend!

Throwing this back to the original question in the title of the thread.

(intro: ) Still jonesing for solution to being able to block listing of chosen threads and forums in New Posts; this can be done to block specific members' postings, and logic dictates that therefore the solution should be in the same area of knowledge (p.s. I don't know a thing about computers really, not me; so, as Montaigne said, What do I know?) (p.p.s. but it would be nice if one could block the areas specified above, as one could do at the old digs); and lastly (outro: ) Thank you for the hard work, mods & techs, and as always #vivaWS.

I want to do the same thing - the gaming threads clog up my feed

I wouldn't feel quite the defeat in losing this aspect were it not that I also encountered harassment by a now thankfully former member in my original pursuit of the establishment of this ability.

At this minute, 10 of first 21 New Posts Game Room threads.

Good news!

I was able to play with some code so that this will no longer be a problem.

Here is how to block specific forums from showing in "New Posts"

Step 1: At the top of any page click "Forum Actions", a drop down will appear.

Step 2: Inside this drop down select General Settings, this will take you to your General Settings page.

Step 3: Once inside your "General Settings", scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the heading "Forums To Exclude From View".

Step 4: Select the forum or forums you wish to not see in your "New Posts" page.

Step 5: Click Save
