Circumstances of Disappearance
Cobianchi was last seen in Domegge Di Cadore, Belluno, Italy on July 10, 1956. He was part of a group of young boys from the Casier di Treviso seminary that were visiting Domegge di Cadore for a short holiday. While their lunch was being prepared, the group visited the church of Domegge, accompanied by a superior of the seminar. They went further to the Piage by the Val di toro road to reach the refuge of Padova, continuing on about another hundred meters until they had to go back for lunch. All the boys returned except Cobianchi, who had told his friends he was going to go to the top of the last summit and then would come back. Extensive searches were conducted immediately, but Cobianchi was never located.
