I wonder if he could be NAMUS Unidentified Person 15756 who was found October 19, 2002, and which is almost 5 months from the date Ledkins last had contact with anyone. Height is 1 inch different.

That's almost a 10 hour drive from where he went missing to where the unidentified remains were found. The NamUS report said he was going through some "personal stressers" and then left a note for his son. On the surface, that might indicate self harm, but it would be unlikely he'd drive almost 700 miles to commit suicide unless the place in which the body was found had some special emotional significate for him. There is nothing on him that I could find other than the NamUs report and a couple "crimeonline" type pages that simply state what's in NamUS and then try and get you to subscribe for a fee. So I couldn't find anything. (Nevada court and civil records can't be searched for free).

To avoid any confusion, I think that 2022 above is a NAMUS typo! It looks like it should be 2002, from the other information listed.

Background: I found the Colorado UP in another thread a few days ago then searched NAMUS for MPs where the following 4 criteria were similar to the UP's:

height range
date of last contact
gender/sex
race

When Mr. Ledkins's info appeared in the results list, I checked websleuths to see if his case had already been posted. Since it wasn't, I posted it and then added the comment regarding the UP. Maybe that's not the preferred method.

My background isn't LE so I am comfortable looking at empirical data, such as height, weight, etc. and I keep my fingers crossed that the professionals who took the measurements and then entered the data did so accurately and I'm comparing actual facts not mistakes.

That's the part I'm comfortable with. The other information is too limited for me personally, given my lack of LE and social science training, to work with.

My personal opinion is that a 10-hour drive says Mr. Ledkins is a possibility. Plenty of people I know take long drives for a variety of reasons, including simply having time to think, to decompress, to escape their problems for a few days, etc.

Of course, once on the road, anything can happen.

According to Ancestry.com, there's a Jeffrey F Ledkins associated with Mesquite, NV, but Ancestry doesn't expand on the middle initial F, and the ages do not match (off by 4 years).

The Jeffrey F Ledkins in Ancestry.com appears to have a residential history spanning NV, UT an AZ.

If the MP would be 66 years old in 2025, then his birth year would be approx. 1959, not 1955.

NAMUS did not provide a DOB, and Ancestry states the DOB is 1955.

I'm just noting the discrepancies and citing the sources.
