JOSEPH SCOTT MORGAN WILL BE ON THIS THREAD ANSWERING YOUR QUESTIONS LIVE WED, MAY 7TH AT 8 PM EASTERN.
If you have a question, please click this link and post it on the questions thread

Our first question for Joseph Scott Morgan comes from Bearfosssils

"What made you feel compelled to pursue a career in forensics, death investigation, etc.? Is there a significant event that influenced your interests, or a cumulation of experiences that aided in choosing your career?
If you could give any advice to others who are curious about pursuing a similar career, what would it be? Are there things you wished you knew before you moved from college to career, and what qualities do you think matter most in order to pursue a career like yours?"

(I'm posting this question early so Mr. Morgan can see how the thread looks. I'll post the rest of the questions on Wednesday, May 7th, at 8:00 PM Eastern.)

Death investigator and host of Body Bags podcast Joseph Scott Morgan will be answering your questions shortly. If you have any questions you want to try and ask go to our question thread RIGHT HERE and then come back to here and watch for the answers.

@bearfosssils,
Interesting question....since I was young I was always scientifically curious. During my formative years I had a specific person (stepfather) who told me I was to dumb to accomplish great things. For me forensics was the ultimate challenge and I set out to proof him wrong. So I started while an undergraduate working as a cleanup guy in the morgue and wound up getting a free education from a forensic pathologist.

Advice? Guard your heart and mind, the tragedies of others should not require you to sacrifice your own wellbeing. Be curious and unafraid to learn new methodologies. Don't be afraid to get dirty, assess those things that make others flee (decomposing bodies, mass killings, dead children) ALWAYS SEEK scientific truths in the horrors of death. J

Thank you Joseph Scott Morgan. Great advice to start of the Ask Me Anythng

luxISlight asks "Has Mr. Morgan looked at the evidence in the Karen Read case? If so, does he think the evidence shows Mr. O'Keefe was struck by a vehicle?"

I think that there IS a distinct possibility that he was struck a vehicle. Point of initial impact was the eye anterior, with a concurrent posterior head strike. He died at that spot due to hypothermia and blunt force. It has been my belief that the insults to the arm were from the undercarriage of a vehicle.

Hey Gummyshoe! Media is in a feeding frenzy, just like with the so called "Lady Bird Lake" serial killer in Austin. Important point to look out for:
1. Causes of death, are they consistent with all "Victims"
2. Geographic distribution of remains
3. Status of remains when discovered .....posing, positioning, clothing, body covered v. uncovered.
4. How were each discovered

Knox would like to hear JSM's thoughts on a case out of Georgia. Not interested in the corrupt firefighter aspect, he's just a bad actor driven by a lack of morals. To my knowledge, he is not suspected of being involved with the deaths of Qaadir & Naazir.

  • The Discovery:
The bodies of 19-year-old twin brothers Qaadir and Naazir Lewis were found on March 8, 2025, on Bell Mountain in Towns County, Georgia.

    • Initial Investigation:
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) initially reported the deaths as a murder-suicide.
    • Family's Disagreement:
The twins' family and friends strongly disagree with this conclusion, as they believe the twins would never have been in or familiar with the area.
    • Arrest of Volunteer Firefighter:
A volunteer firefighter was arrested for taking photos of the scene, reports NBC News.
    • Further Investigation Needed:
The GBI stated that additional forensic tests are necessary to make a final ruling on the cause of death.

Since Joseph Scott Morgan started his career as a death investigator at the young age of l8 you would think he would write a book. Oh Wait. He did.
Blood Beneath My Feet
"Have you ever been locked in a cooler with piles of decomposing humans for so long that you had to shave all the hair off your body in order to get rid of the smell? Joseph Scott Morgan did. Have you ever lit a Marlboro from the ignited gas of a bloated dead man’s belly? Joseph Scott Morgan has. Have you ever wept over a dead dog while not giving a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 about the dead owner laying next him? Morgan did. Were you named after a murder victim? Joseph Scott Morgan was."

I can tell you one little bit of personal info about JSM. He has never seen a ghost. How do I know this? I asked him. Yes, I only ask the deep probing questions;, you all want the answers, too. LOL

Hello Knox!
Just finished taping the episode of Body Bags debuting tomorrow on this case. Super bizarre in that these twins (according to family) had never been to Towns County Ga, let alone Bell Mountain. I have lived in that area previously VERY ISOLATED. It's not some place you wind up in by accident. Though the GBI told family that this was a Murder/suicide, they have also stated that the investigation is still ongoing. Need more info........

Hey Nate Bro!

Epstein is at the top of the list, injuries sustained do not in any universe with narrative.
