I think this is okay under the WS ToS that the Mansker family tree is published online & seems to identify his parents - also in KS - but doesn't drill down as far as Junior's generation. Who I believe to be this Charles Jr is mentioned in his mother's obit on Find a Grave. I didn't go beyond that ie: no sleuthing living relatives.

WICHITA (KAKE) - More than half a century has passed in the case of a man who vanished from south-central Kansas.

Charles ‘Chuck’ Mansker, Jr., was reported missing mid-October 1968, family tells the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office. He was 27 years old at the time.

His brother, John, reported him missing with the National Missing and Unidentified Person System in 2015, and that’s when John discovered a missing-persons report had never been filed with Wichita Police. On Feb. 3, 2016, the sheriff’s office was advised that Wichita Police wasn’t filing a report, so the county did, said Lt. Nate Gibbs, public information officer for the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office. They’ve been working with Charles’ brother and sister on the case. His brother hired a private detective but nothing was ever found. This remains one of the oldest missing persons cases in Sedgwick County.

“Our detectives located and contacted the ex-wife who believed the last time she saw him was in Mexico,” Gibbs said. “Detectives have collected DNA from a family member which was sent in to NamUs.”

Person of same first/last name + middle initial listed as having filed bankruptcy in same town (Wichita) in June 1968. The person was listed as a TV repairman.

Came across this - I have absolutely no idea if any of this is relative to his case or not, but was curious about the statement by his ex-wife saying she thought she last saw him in Mexico. Was wondering about that particular period, American travel there, etc., and ran across the article. This demonstration took place on October 2, 1968. The Summer Olympics also took place in Mexico City 10 days later. There is a lot of info on the web about the massacre, with many claims about numbers of injured/killed/disappeared not reported accurately.
