I once read that Wichita is on the drug route.....Houston to OKC to KC or west to Garden Plains and onto Colorado. That is why the crime rate has risen. I don’t know it just is bad. Places that were safe are not. We, as a family, are always aware of our surroundings and people around....lots of LE in family. Still no matter how safe things happen. I remember back in the 1950’s in suburb of Chicago, we never locked our doors...I cannot I,shine doing that today.
