Missing person from Marion county, last seen in Chase County. Jason Hinton mid fourties’ was driving a white Ford ranger pick up when he wrecked on private property near milepost 318 off U50 near Cedar Point Ks. This occurred around 1930 last Tuesday evening.

Hinton walked off from his vehicle after wrecking. Damage to the truck was very minor, and no evidence of any injuries occurred. If you have any information call 620-273-6313.

He had an arrest in 2018 for violation of parole, but a search of the state court records shows that it looks like the revocation of probation was withdrawn. Don't know whether he is still on probation or not, only of interest if he was concerned about a violation of some stipulation of the probation - such as no alcohol use, not to say he had been drinking when he had the fender bender, but always a possibility in my opinion as to why he'd leave the scene. As of Tuesday afternoon no signs of Hinton had been found. Local landowners are being asked to double check their properties for Hinton.

“We would ask everyone to keep searching,” Cox said. “Search your outbuildings, your fields, sheds, anywhere on your property you can think of.”
