I would have no problem with them being tried as juveniles, as long as they never see the light of day again. Why should juvenile penalties not include the possibility of LWOP, when a crime is so vicious?

The judge denied the motion to prosecute as adults this week based on the statute and the age of the juveniles. The state may still reserve the right to appeal.
They pleaded not guilty in August.
A motions hearing is scheduled for Friday, April 18.

Such a gut punch. My heart remains heavy for Mrs. Johnson's family, friends, and community.

No individual surviving life's trials and tribulations to the age of 93, should meet their end by two evil minded teen girls yielding a rusty axe-- who by Statute-- will be released at age 23 (if convicted).

Absolutely disgusting! Those girls committed a serious adult crime and should be treated like adults!
