A photo of a missing man, Jordan Yust, who disappeared from an Olathe neighborhood on Monday, March 4, 2025.

According to officers, Jordan Yust was last seen leaving the area of West 141st Street and South Widmer Street at around 11 a.m. Monday. He was said to be wearing a green Columbia coat and blue jeans.

He left the Olathe neighborhood in a silver Honda Odyssey with a Kansas license plate that read “056RRA.”

Police said Jordan is “endangered” because he had made statements related to self-harm.

Trying to figure out where exit 247 is on 169 - it doesn't seem like the exits are numbered. could this mean mile marker 247 or exit to 247th street?

Last seen in a neighborhood - whose house was he at? where did he say he was going?

169 is rural but definitely not the middle of nowhere. lots of towns along the highway and houses on the road in some places.

Agencies are reaching out across state lines to help in search and rescue operations after an Olathe man was reported missing days earlier.

The Bates County, Missouri, Sheriff’s Office says that around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, crews were deployed to Miami County, Kansas, to help in a search and rescue operation.

While Yust’s vehicle was found along 69 Highway near the exit to W. 247th St. in Miami County, Kansas, his whereabouts are still unknown. Crews continued to comb the area on Thursday.

Thanks! That location definitely seems more rural....MOO JMO I wonder if he was carjacked and the car was ditched there?

I'm fairly local to this case and friends have been out on horseback every day searching for Jordan. I wish I could join them but we've got an event this weekend and I have to prepare our facility.

It's not looking good at this point, 3 days later. We had terrible high winds and a blizzard Tuesday night, with very low "feels like" temperatures, ice, and a few inches of snow. Sadly, given that he made statements about harming himself, I believe he is within a couple mile radius of his car. At this point, being fairly immersed in the community, I hope he is found by LE or SAR and not an unsuspecting property owner.

The search area for a man who has been missing from Olathe for nearly a week has expanded south of Spring Hill.

The Miami County, Kansas, Sheriff’s Office announced on Sunday, March 9, that the search area for missing Jordan Yust of Olathe has expanded to include the area north of 255th St. between Metcalf and Old Kansas City Rd.

The efforts follow multiple reports of a man that matched his description walking along the highway as recently as Friday.

Authorities are now asking for the public’s help in reviewing potential dashcam footage.

The Miami County Sheriff’s Office has requested that anyone who was in the area of 247th Street and U.S. Highway 69 between 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday check their dashcam footage for any vehicles parked along the roadside.

Anyone who believes they may have relevant footage is urged to direct message the Miami County Sheriff’s Office or email [email protected].

His van was later found abandoned, but still running, along U.S. Highway 69 just north of 247th Street. Yust's wallet was left inside, but he was nowhere to be found.

"So the family located it around 5:40 p.m. that night, Monday night. And the vehicle was running at the time and the flashers were going," said Capt. Matt Kelley of the Miami County, Kansas, Sheriff's Office.

Yust's friends said he might be heading north via the Ten Mile Creek that connects many farm fields.

….
Yust, who friends say was having a mental health crisis last week and spoke of harming himself.

Police believe he may be walking north in sheltered areas along U.S. Highway 69.

Yust is an employee at Garmin. The company supplied resources early on in the search.
