Tawnya Knight’s murder has remained unsolved. On Dec 7th, 1996, the 15-yr-old girl was out with friends southeast of Garner, Arizona in Springhill. There are mixed reports as to what happened that evening. Some say she went walking alone towards home, and others say someone was accompanying her. What we know for certain is 6 months later, on June 7th, 1997, Tawnya’s body was found deceased by a farmer at the back of a graveyard. It was definitely a homicide. Were the friends she trusted responsible for her death?

I believe it was the kid that would not be interviewed by the police. He stated he would come in and never showed up and then was never interviewed. I think that he raped her and killed her they found the coat with someone associated with him so I honestly feel like this guy knows exactly what happened to Tawnya that night.

Her remains were found in a vacant field south of the Spring Hill Cemetery (Source: The Olathe Daily News 6/18/1997).

And from a different article: "Robert Lynn, of Gardner, was tilling his field near Spring Hill..." when he spotted the skull. It mentions that the vacant field was about 100 yards east of Hwy 169. The article also says she left a friend's house shortly after midnight (Source: Council Grove Republican 6/9/1997).

I have been to where they found her. I also believe it was the kid that was never interviewed.
