Kennedy said the body was that of a white man in his 30s, adding that there were no visible signs of trauma.

A body was spotted in the Arkansas River in west Wichita this afternoon, April 25th. It was reportedly near the following location:

This one stopped my heart last night; my son fits that description and lives just a few miles from that spot. No reason to think this was him, except he wasn't answering his phone. Took an hour for him to get back with me and about that much longer for my heart to start beating again.

Another family is feeling that trauma for real, though. Per above link, updated:

Police now say the body belonged to a 53-year-old man. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of death, and an autopsy was scheduled for today.

Sounds like they know who he is, but his name hasn't been released. No foul play suspected.

I presume he was probably identified but I couldn't find any further information and he's not listed in Namus that I could find.
