On 01/18/2017 Zachary was brought to Topeka after he was denied access to Prairie Band Casino, Mayetta, KS. He was purportedly dropped off at a downtown Topeka, KS hotel. He never checked in and has not been seen since.

I don't see people put in NAMUS the same day they go missing (I don't think I ever have). Makes me wonder if they think there is much more to this story?? IMO. Not finding any MSM yet.

Perhaps it's a typo but it appears the date he was last seen is 1/18/2017 and his Namus record was entered 1/18/2018. Either the record was created the same day he went missing and the last date seen is wrong....or they waited a whole year to enter the record....

This story does confirm the last seen date as 2017. It is believed he now lives in Wichita. No phone & fb password has been changed

Also, just a heads up, if you google this name & missing, there is a DIFFERENT man with the same name who did an awful crime elsewhere. I would use KS in the google if you don't want to see those headlines.

Oh geez! You would think it wouldn't take someone (me) so long to get used to the fact that the year is now 2018! Good catch! Thanks. I will ask mods to reflect the correct date.

According to the MSM link I found above, the last seen date of Jan 2017 is correct. He has been missing for a year.

Anderson was last seen in Topeka, Kansas on January 10, 2017. He was brought there after he was denied entry at the Prairie Band Casino in Mayetta, Kansas. He was supposedly dropped off at the Ramada Inn in the 400 block of southeast 6th Street, but he never checked in and has never been heard from again.

Topeka Police are asking for the community’s help with finding Zachary Michael Anderson. Anderson is from the Wichita area, but was last seen on Jan. 18 at the Ramada Inn in Topeka.

“I kind of just got the feeling from the first detective and the police officers that were assigned to this case, that they didn't really care because of his lifestyle that he had fallen into,” said Mary Kastens, the mother of Zach Anderson.

Zach was last seen on Jan. 18, 2017, in Topeka. He went on a trip with friends from Wichita to northeast Kansas to go gambling. His friends returned, but he never did. Zach faced his struggles, including an addiction to drugs and having a criminal past – something that Mary believe set his case back. A few months after her son vanished, Mary said Topeka Police listed Zach’s case as inactive. It took a while for her to find out.

“So we went all these months without nobody looking for him,” Kastens said. “And not telling us that they were looking for him. I'm not going to lie, we're angry. You know, and I'm still angry. I'm angry at a lot of things, you know, I'm upset because of the choices that he's made. I'm upset with nobody really telling us what to do and how to help.”
