"LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing man in Laurel County they say the family is offering a reward for information on the man’s whereabouts.

Sheriff’s deputies are looking for 34-year-old Adam Pinkley. They say he was last seen off East Cumberland Gap in southern Laurel on May 31, 2018 around 7 a.m

Pinkley is described as 6’2″, 180 pounds, blue eyes, and hair that covers the ears. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and brown boots."

I'm not sure it's the right place though. Google didn't recognize "Garland Cemetery Road."

There have been several people missing in the immediate area over the last few months, but it appears they have all been located.

Does anybody know anything more about his actual disappearance or the circumstances of when he was last seen? I didn't bother looking at the Topix page since they are usually about 20% truth, 60% rumor and 20% BS.

All I can find online was "last seen at/near Cumberland Gap Parkway" on 5/31/2018 when I know there is more to the story. He was arrested during a burglary 4/26/2018 and caught with drugs (meth). The other burglar got away. The authorities know who the other guy is but I can't find whether they've said a name. Pinkley was reported missing a few weeks after that run in with the law.

If he "snitched" or the other party even though he could have snitched, that's where I'd look in terms of a killer.

The "Cumberland Gap Parkway" is merely 25-E in Laurel County and Knox County. It's definitely a "main road," but not a divided/limited-access highway like an Interstate or Freeway with exits and the like.

He was found off of a small dead-end country road that coincidentally happens to be just 2-3 miles south of where Espy Regina Black-Pilgrim was found in a refrigerator oh so many years ago.

During the struggle, the man was able to get away and fled on foot. The deputy stayed with the other man, later identified by 34 year old Adam Pinkley of Michigan, and called for assistance. Corbin City Police responded and during the investigation, they found a baggy of suspected methamphetamine on the floor. Pinkley was arrested and charged with drug possession and other offenses.

Officials describe Pinkley as white, 34 years old, stands at 6'2" and weighs 180 pounds. He has blue eyes and his hair covers his ears.

The investigation into the reported burglary is continuing. The man who fled has been identified and an arrest warrant will be obtained. Adam Pinkley was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

The human remains where sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for identification and a cause of death. KSP has since learned, the human remains was of Adam Pinkley. Mr. Pinkley was 34 years old at the time of death. Based off evidence collected, Mr. Pinkley was murdered on or about May 31, 2018. KSP also discovered Mr. Pinkley was reported missing to Laurel County Sheriff’s Office in 2018 before his remains where located in Knox County. The victim has ties to Laurel, Knox and Whitley Counties.

KSP is seeking any assistance from the public into any leads or suspects in the murder of Adam Pinkley. Anyone with information is urged to contact Post 10 Harlan at 606-573-3131.

I agree, it could be nothing, but the is something hinky here. Around the time Adam went missing someone sent his FB contacts (including me) a lot of weird messages that were clearly not him. I went to school with him and we were FB friends over the years and caught up every few years. MOO and MOE
