This NamUs page is down and from what I can gather, this leg belongs to Mr. Tin Can.
ACTIVE SEARCH - KY - Danny ”Tin Can“ Napier, 53, abandoned bicycle, Highway 550, KY River, Perry Co., 23 Feb 2019
Remains of missing Perry County resident identifiedWhere did you find this information? Cloverport is a long way from Perry County, a good 250 miles by car.
I'm wondering if this could be Tanner Harper (The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)) who's been missing since Dec 2018. It says he was wearing dark shoes. With his 5'9-10" height, it seems like size 10 shoes could be reasonable.
His car was found on the 2nd Street Bridge or near it. Cloverport is a few counties downstream. It seems at least possible he could have washed up there.
Tanner has always stuck in my mind because I remember the day he went missing. I could see the bridge from my office building and we saw the boats and law enforcement out on both sides of the river.[/QUOTE
I'm happy Tin Can has him name back, but how did his leg get that far away? This isn't making sense for someone who may have fell into that river.
Thank you for not forgetting about Tanner. He was my son and I re-play that day over and over, especially since no one reported actually seeing him go into the water that day and he was apparently not captured by the cameras that were apparently working that day. I have, however, received a call from the medical examiner’s office stating that the partial leg in the shoe was not a match for Tanner. It took almost exactly a year to get the results back because of Covid. I am thankful but also disappointed because I desperately need closure, so if you know anyone that may have seen something, Please let me know. Three calls came in that day but it’s disappointing to think that no one stopped to talk to him. We had no idea he was going through something at any time. It’s still a total shock. Again, Thank you for remembering him/his name.
