Pulaski County family searching for man missing for a week

[...]

David “DJ” Whitt, 20, was last seen along Highway 837 on the Casey-Pulaski County line. He was last seen wearing a brown and green striped sweater with a possible black t-shirt underneath and dark blue pants with a white stripe down the legs. He was wearing red wing boots and a feed store/tractor supply hat.

Whitt is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs between 120 and 130 pounds with brown hair and eyes.

His family told FOX 56 News he was acting out of character before he went missing. Before he went missing, he had legal trouble with the police and went missing shortly after being released by the police.

“The only thing that was in his system at the time of his arrest was THC. His blood work showed that his blood sugar was abnormally high, elevated white blood cell count, critically low potassium & a major urinary tract infection but we didn’t get the results until after his disappearance,” family told FOX 56.

The family’s attorney, Jeremy Bartley, says, "So obviously the family, they've been through hell and at this point there are a lot more question marks for them than there are answers.”

I hope this family is able to get answers. :(

Noting:

When the initial investigation began in December, Strunk says the remains were sent to Frankfort for an autopsy where the cause and manner of death couldn't be identified. Remains were then sent to the University of Tennessee and then the Kentucky State Police lab.
