ELSMERE, Ky. Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault at a Northern Kentucky park.
The incident happened around 2:20 p.m. on July 13 at Woodside Park in Elsmere.
Officials said a man forced a 12-year-old girl into a wooded area adjacent to the park, and indicated he was affiliated with the police department. The man told the girl that unless she cooperated, she would be arrested, police said.
Officials said he sexually assaulted the girl, and was last seen walking north on Lytle Avenue.
Officials have described the man as white, around 30-40 years old, with curly orange hair and a beard. He has a light complexion and unclean crooked teeth, police said.
