Shortly after noon Thursday authorities said they were recovering what they think are the "majority" of a man's remains that were found in a field off Citation Boulevard in Lexington.

Fayette Coroner Gary Ginn said at the scene that a search of the field Thursday morning turned up a jaw, a pelvis, teeth and some clothing, which were found a short distance from where initial remains were found Wednesday night...

The coroner said there was nothing on the bones that would indicate how the person died...

Ginn said the bones had been in the field for months, possibly longer, based on the amount of decomposition.

I'm not sure exactly what I'm supposed to post when it comes to article links, sources and stuff so if this is wrong please correct me!

There are two articles here relating to this UID that give a little more information on exactly where he was found (I'm sure someone was looking for that somewhere but I'll be damned if I can find the post now) -

"Shortly after noon Thursday, authorities said they were recovering what they thought were the "majority" of a man's remains that were found in a field off Citation Boulevard in Lexington."

"According to authorities, the bones were found in a grown-up fencerow, near a tree line at the foot of a hill on the south side of the field. The site is on the south side of Citation Boulevard about a quarter-mile from Newtown Pike."

"Lexington police would check missing-persons reports for any hints to the man's identity. He said they also would check for any reports of missing patients from the new Eastern State Hospital, which is visible from the field in the distance."

This is exactly the right place! And great finds! I’ve already added the links to the spreadsheet and now it will help the others with precise map locations! Thank you! This is great new info!

The proximity to the State school is interesting o_O
@GJKJR @ClaireNC

(Generally, anything related to an individual case should be posted on the individual thread, like you’ve done just now...the Project Kentucky thread is for general discussion, which we’ve kind of strayed from and neglected the main threads. We’ve seen the error in our ways (mostly mine I’m sure lol) )

I like seeing Meredith Frame’s name on this case, from what I can tell, she’s very thorough and motivated! (FWIW)

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've been trying to find stuff on this Doe's case but I couldn't find anything on Newspapers.com or Google News (should've thought about looking about Websleuths threads first, probably?). Now I can optimize the location I had and add some more information. Thank you again, and also (I know you've been registered for a few months but this is the first time I've seen you around) semi-welcome to Websleuths!

Main threads will be (mass?)-updated as soon as I get a few more UIDs covered (like the Narrows Boat Ramp Doe, haven't got any newspaper articles on her case yet).
