In my opinion:
Unfortunately, unless someone calls the investigating medical examiner, we are unlikely to ever know the resolution from this case (in this forum) because of some unfortunate circumstances.

I sent the ME an email to inquire as to whether or not they officially identified him.

I agree. I would think both NamUs profiles would have been removed around the same time. Still, I thought I'd post the update on Donnie given @carbuff 's post.

And I appreciate the information.

There isn't any consistent pattern to when Namus cases are taken down. The LE responsible for each case decides on their own, and they aren't necessarily in synch.
