Police searching for missing Elizabethtown woman

The Elizabethtown Police Department is asking the public's help in locating Melissa Emerick.

Emerick, 28, was last seen at 3 a.m. on Saturday, December 8. She was wearing black pants and a black Black Veiled Brides band t-shirt. She is 5'6'' and approximately 225 lbs.

In 2017, Emerick was charged with attempted murder for pouring antipsychotic medicine into a two-liter bottle for her careworker at the Community Alternatives of Kentucky to drink.

A Golden Alert was previously issued for the woman in 2017, with officials saying Emerick was an insulin dependent diabetic ward of the state. No Golden Alert has been issued in this search.

Search continues for missing woman

An Elizabethtown woman remains missing despite a plea to the public several days ago to try and locate her.

EPD spokesman John Thomas said Thursday “at this point, there is no evidence of foul play.”

Melissa Emerick left the 6100 block of Mayna Drive and was "last seen heading north on Terry Rd. near Conway Middle School," according to a Thursday press release from Louisville Metro Police.

Emerick, 29, was last seen wearing a dark brown jacket and blue jeans, according to police. She is insulin dependent and a ward of the state, and she has pierced ears as well as a pierced nose.

I think missing again - Jan 14. But, now she has been found again, as of Jan 17 - a day after the Golden Alert was issued!

Melissa Emerick, a woman who went missing in Louisville earlier this week has been found, authorities said Friday.
