Concern grows by the day for the South Lebanon family of a missing Tennessee woman with dementia.
According to those family members, Patty Scales, 58, is likely confused and possibly on foot.
"She's been out in the cold," her daughter, Sonya Studdard, said. "I'm just afraid that she's defenseless. With the dementia and mental health issues, I'm just worried."
Scales does not have a mobile phone with her.
Her daughter indicated she stopped using a cellphone because when she wouldn't get a call, she'd maintain it was no longer working.
Relatives believe she was last seen by a passer-by two weeks ago on foot, crying and bruised, in Dry Ridge, Kentucky.
The woman's granddaughter, Jaime May Studdard, told us, "It's scary because we don't know if she managed to get a ride again and make it a great distance again or if she's in the same area, or did she get lost and confused?"
Local authorities tell us by now, her name has probably been entered in the national crime information computer, in which case any incidental contact would presumably red flag her name to any officer or deputy.
