In October of 2023, the skeletal remains of a person were found in a wooded area off Sweeney Drive in Revelo, Kentucky. A teenager had been hiking through the woods when they stumbled upon them and called police. Investigators retrieved incomplete skeletal remains on October 9 and October 14, 2023 and immediately sent them to the Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort, Kentucky. The remains were then sent to the Forensic Anthropology Center at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The remains have been estimated to be those belonging to a white male, younger than 40, and who was about 5'6"-6'1" tall. The remains are at the Kentucky State Police Central Forensic Laboratory in Frankfort, Kentucky for DNA testing. It will take months to receive DNA results.
