These remains were found about 15 miles from Elkton, KY where Perry Stokes went missing in 1982. The location is only about 3 miles from I-24 in Clarksville which leads straight into Nashville, one of the places Perry's friends suggested he may have traveled.

I've been waiting for more news to come out about this but I haven't heard anything yet. From the article and the care taken at the crime scene I believe the remains had been there quite some time.

William Rigsby is also missing from Todd County, KY. He vanished from Rogers Grocery on Greenville Rd in Hopkinsville back in 1995. I hope whomever it is gets identified quickly so the family and other loved ones can finally have answers. Please keep us posted of any updates.

Coming up on a year now with no updates. Makes me wonder a few things. It's possible that there is evidence of a crime and they are not trying to jeopardize anything. It's possible that the remains could be historical but the time spent at the scene makes me assume otherwise. Looking at the historical aerials the only patch of woods that appears to have remained the same since the 50s appeared to only be accessible by dirt roads off of the main road over different periods of time. If this were a homicide it was most likely well thought out with knowledge of the area. I can't wait for an update.

I think it's strange that there are no updates. I guess by now they examined the remains and know at least a gender, but nothing is added in the Namus file.

I might be completely far off but when I first heard about this case my thought went to a woman who went missing from Walmart in 1998.. Shannon Artif TN - TN - Shannon Riley Arif, 20, Clarksville, 17 March 1998
but then it went to sandra cecere, a local soldier who has been missing since 1997, her jaw bone was sent to a local news station while the rest of her body hasn't been found. I couldn't find a websluthes page in her which is unfortunate but I believe all the parties involved in her death have since passed. Her estranged husband (though most believe it was an arranged marriage since cecere wasn't reportedly attracted to men) was also tried for another murder of his girlfriend around the same time. He was acquitted and has since died.

And We can't forget about the mongols gang that lived and terrorized this area as well. One gang member was wanted/reported missing by the police ended up in a shed with a tent spike though his skull, on cemetery road only miles from this area... It is an area that appears to be used by those trafficking drugs between Guthrie KY and the Clarksville/Nashville area.

There are a couple missing men that i have also considered, marqualis davis, namely as his last known location is an easy route to Kentucky and they are listed as cold cases in Clarksville. Do you know anything? Seven Clarksville people who disappeared without a trace
