KY - Two Dead, One Injured, Martin County.

Two people were shot to death, and a third shooting victim was rushed to a hospital, accoding to Kentucky State Police.
The bodies were found on Golf Branch just off Route 292 in Martin County near the Lovely area.
The old strip mine near where the bodies were found is known as a recreation spot where people ride ATVs and hunt.

When I saw "Martin County", my heart leaped because that's my former home. We lived there for several years and my mother was a school teacher in both Inez and in a smaller community. (That school is now closed. They closed a bunch of the little ones and made a larger one out of them.) Then I saw Micah's name. I wasn't close to Micah (he wasn't from Martin County but may have recently moved there), but I know his family very well. I'm loosely connected to the unnamed woman. I hate that this happened. Micah and the injured woman were barely more than kids.

Name released of third victim.

The Pike County Coroner says the third victim of a shooting in Martin County has died from her injuries stemming from a Friday shooting. The coroner says the third victim, Amber Lockard, was previously on life support before dying Tuesday morning. She died from a gunshot wound.

A missing vehicle belonging to a woman murdered in Kentucky has been found across state lines in West Virginia.
KSP tells WSAZ that West Virginia State Police found Amber Lockhard's vehicle Wednesday evening. It was parked along a street in Williamson, West Virginia.
Investigators say it is unclear at this time if the vehicle pertains to the murder case, but it will be processed for any possible evidence.

I'm sorry. They all were young, well, to me, anyway. The female was the eldest, at 31. I was hoping she'd live so she could tell LE who did this. Being found at the abandoned strip mine, (the link says "Golf Branch" but I believe it is actually "Goff Branch" near Lovely, Ky.), right on the Ky/WV border, and then the female's vehicle being found across the border into WV, speaks to being set up, to me. The killer could have even been riding with them, or met them there with another person following behind.

Just thinking, the three victims could have gotten into someone else's vehicle, in Williamson, WV and they all drove to the strip mine, just seven miles or so, away. MS gf, the deceased woman, AL, is from Williamson. They had a bit of an on and off for several years now, it seems (she also went by a surname of Bates).

Family of murdered woman talks about emotional experience

It all began with a phone call. "she (his mother) messaged me and said I needed to talk to you," said CL.

Friday marks the day which changed the L family, forever. "I read about it on the news because on Facebook," said AL.

So, if the emails are true, their killer(s) still out there. Don't know if they're related but I would guess these murders had something to do with drugs.
