Mammas in Louisiana, is this how you're raising your daughters?

No bullying. No mean girls. Ya just fatally stab a girl, and teens record it.

dear lord...

Four teenagers arrested over ‘live-streamed’ murder of 15-year-old girl in Walmart

Four young girls were arrested over the weekend after the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old girl at a Louisiana Walmart was live-streamed on social media.

The four girls, aged between 12 and 14, were arrested on Saturday after the victim was fatally stabbed at a Walmart in Lake Charles, Louisiana, according to a Facebook post by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office on Sunday.

The suspects allegedly used a knife that they had stolen from the store in the incident, just moments after they were seen in the kitchen aisle, according to reports.

Live footage of the incident was also allegedly posted to social media by one of the suspects. It appeared to show her holding a knife while moving towards the victim. Surveillance footage released by police showed a girl carrying the knife as she fled the store on Saturday.

Damm.
The girls probably won't get much punishment due to their ages... but their victim won't ever have another birthday, and her family can't celebrate it the way it should be celebrated, either.

Inside a store -- lights on, people around, four girls plus their victim -- how quiet could it all have been?
SMH.
Something has got to change in this world. Life is cheap now. No big deal.
Makes me wanna holler...

This is the worst of the worst. Absolutely sickening. Who could ever imagine a child being stabbed to death, by other children, in a Walmart aisle?

Someone posted 5 min of the live stream video on social media. It is so very sad. Horrendous. Thank goodness it does not show the stabbing as the videoing phone was all over the place - lots of yelling. There is a complete lack of remorse and disturbing statements after the fact.

Did it look like someone came up and messed with the phone as one of the girls was recording and that is the cause of the fight?

Saturday’s incident marked the third homicide in six months involving minors between 11 and 16 years old, according to the sheriff.

“This is not something we can police our way out of,” he said. “I just don’t feel like this is a police matter. This is a parenting issue.”

It is a cultural issue, that weapons (whether guns or other weapons) are the solution to all slights. And I do not mean just one section of society. All of them.

IMHO, I believe this may just spotlight the mental health of youth across all boundaries. So many are suffering with borderline personality disorders, all the way to full blown sociopathic and psychotic illness.
If there is empathy, understanding of consequences, and the ability to use self-control, then no amount of weapons placed in front of a kid will make them pick it up and use them.

But why is that? Do American kids have more mental illness than other nationalities?

Well, if you look at places where children are part of gangs like in the slums of Brazil where violence using guns, knives and other weapons are rampant...Then I'm going to make an educated guess that this is a worldwide issue. The breakdown of the family, and poverty also play a role. But, childhood mental illness is the elephant in the room that no one talks about.

You are comparing the US, the richest country in the world with third world countries.
