Monroe Police Searching for Missing Woman

The Monroe Police Department is looking for Addie Morehouse, who suffers from Dementia and Alzheimer's.

Morehouse has been missing since about 5:30 p.m. Thursday night. Police say Morehouse left her home near Lamy Lane in Monroe.

She was last seen in the 2800 hundred block of Lasalle Street. Police say she's about 4"10' tall and weighs about 110 pounds.

The Monroe Police Department is asking for public assistance in locating Ms. Addie Morehouse. She was last seen wearing a purple shirt with “Hampton Family Reunion” on the front with black polka dot pants. Ms. Morehouse suffers from Dementia and Alzheimers. She was last on 12/13/18 near her residence on Lamy Lane.

SILVER ALERT

The Louisiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert and is requesting assistance with locating Addie Morehouse. She was reported missing to the Monroe Police Department in Ouachita Parish on Friday, December 14, 2018. She was last seen Friday morning around 9:00 a.m. at her residence located at 2801 Lasalle Street, Monroe, LA.

Addie Morehouse is a 67-year-old black female with black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 4’10” tall and weighs about 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing black pants and a purple t-shirt with “Hampton Family Reunion” printed on the front of the shirt.
Family members confirm Ms. Morehouse suffers from dementia and her medical condition may impair her judgment.

Anyone having any information as to the whereabouts of Addie Morehouse should immediately contact the Monroe Police Department at 318-329-2600 or call 911.

Family of missing Monroe woman offering reward for loved one's whereabouts

The family of a missing Monroe woman is offering a reward for anyone who knows her location.

Relatives of Addie Morehouse are offering up to $2,000.

They're hoping the money will get someone to tell Monroe Police any information they may have about where she is.

Meanwhile, police have also released pictures of the surveillance cameras that caught glimpses of Morehouse as she walked past them.

A volunteer search and rescue effort is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

Crews will be walking the neighborhood where she was last seen.

The group is meeting at Saul Adler Recreational Center at 2:30 p.m. on 3900 Westminster Avenue.

Local group continues search for missing Monroe woman

The search continues for a missing Monroe woman.

Addie Morehouse went missing on December 14 after family members say she walked out of her home near Lamy Lane.

Saturday, the 'Find Addie' group met again at the Saul Adler Community Center. They started with a prayer then went out to search.

Monroe police were out there too. They say they're going to keep looking open until they find her.

Monroe Police Department Statement:

"On today, December 24, 2018, at approximately 9:30AM, the Monroe Police Department Dive Team recovered the body of missing person, Addie Morehouse, from Bayou Desiard.

"Ms. Morehouse was recovered along the 3500 block of Forsythe Avenue which parallels Bayou Desiard.

"At this time, it appears that Ms. Morehouse is the victim of an accidental drowning.

"Chief Ellis would like to thank the entire community for their unwavering support in trying to bring Ms. Morehouse home as well as all of the local agencies who devoted time and resources to assist our agency in the effort.

"Please continue to pray for the Morehouse family."
