I came across John Doe and Troy Lee Lambert's profiles. According to NamUs they haven't been excluded as a match to one another. I wonder if perhaps they are one and the same? Maybe you can help figure this out with me. :)

This match is mostly based off of the location, timing, and circumstances surrounding Troy's disappearance because there's not very much more than adult male and footwear to compare. Troy supposedly went fishing one early afternoon in Feb 2006. His boat and truck were found on the Red River in Alexandria without any fishing gear. There was an arrest warrant for theft that was issued for him shortly after his disappearance which lead LE to believe he might have left voluntarily. So, imo, maybe one of two scenarios played out here:

1) he went fishing with his gear then had a mishap or met with foul play. He ended up in the river then his remains eventually washed up on the bank of the bayou. I'd need help figuring out whether the routing of the waterways lead to where these remains were found or if a major flood could/might have moved the remains to this point. One major problem I already have with this theory is the difference in the footwear description given on each profile.

2) he staged his disappearance and headed off to a wooded area to avoid capture. If I mapped the area correctly, he disappeared only 45 mins - 1 hour from where these remains were found. Perhaps he camped out for a while before he eventually passed away due to some unknown reason. This would then better explain the varying footwear descriptions and the timeline problems with scenario 1. There's a 3 1/2 year gap between his disappearance and the discovery of these remains with an estimate YOD of 2008 which makes it a 2-year time span. I'd guess it's not unheard of for a homeless person to camp out somewhere along a bayou for a couple of years, is it?
