"Clarence Schlamp was reported missing in Jefferson Parish by his girlfriend on Aug. 11 after she was unable to reach him by telephone. Today, (Aug. 14) Schlamp’s gold Toyota Tacoma truck was located near a campsite in the Bonnet Carre Spillway with a note stating that he was in the area and would return soon.

Schlamp was last heard from on Aug. It is believed that Schlamp was camping alone in the Spillway and may have gone hiking or swimming in the area. "

Haven't heard a word about this on the news. I sure hope he is okay. There is nothing in the spillway that should pose a danger and lots of people go there for ATVing, fishing, etc. I wouldn't camp there, but that is me.
