Works 7pm to 7am shift

Reported to work at 7pm on April 21, 2025
Last contact with family was a phone call to his fiance about an hour into the shift.
His co-workers saw him working during the night.

Family filed missing person report with the Harbor Police the next day.

Coast Guard says Harbor Police is the lead agency. New Orleans PD is not involved, but they say they would assist if requested by the Harbor Police.

Clement's family says obtaining information has been an uphill battle, and they are urging authorities to intensify their efforts.

"Do something for Darius," Clement (his aunt) said, "They’re disregarding it, and we think that that’s awful."

In a statement released to WWL Louisiana, the Harbor Police Department stated that "HPD is utilizing all available resources to find Mr. Clement," and confirmed that the search is ongoing.

A family is puzzled by the disappearance of their loved one, last seen at his job on the dock.

Clement (aunt) said, "He was married to his job. He worked on that river every day. If there was overtime, he wanted it."

They received a call during the night that a person was missing, last seen on a river vessel.

"They said they were sending boats out on a three-mile radius . Three miles each way and that the search resulted in nothing," Clement.

The family called leaders with the Cajun Navy who have since been flying helicopters in the area.

Family and friends of a missing New Orleans dock worker gathered Tuesday to hold a vigil.

Loved ones of Darius Clement, who disappeared during his work shift three weeks ago, are demanding answers and are hoping a search can resume.

His family is afraid he may have fallen into the river and are urging for the search to continue.

Harbor police reported that the search for Clement ended on May 2, after conducting river searches for 10 days after his disappearance. The Coast Guard concluded their search on April 23.
