ZACHARY, La. (WAFB) - Officials with the Zachary Police Department say they are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man.

Donovan Jones, 19, was last seen at his home in Zachary around 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16. Family members say he also goes by “DJ.”

Investigators describe Jones as 5′8″ tall, weighing 140-150 pounds.

Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Zachary Police Department at 225-654-9393.

“Law enforcement has conducted thorough searches in the area of Old Scenic Hwy, north of Church St. for DJ who was reported missing on February 16th, but have been unable to locate him,” according to the Zachary Police Department.

A body believed to be that of missing teenager Donovan "DJ" Jones was discovered in a pond near the Meadowview subdivision, Zachary police said Wednesday.

Authorities are still trying to identify the individual, whose remains were found around 3 p.m. by a group of teens riding four wheelers in the area, assistant police chief Darryl Lawrence said.
