Police: Teen missing, believed to be with Port Barre man

Police are asking for help locating a missing Port Barre teen.

DS was last seen around 7:00 am at Port Barre High School.

Police believe she may be a runaway and could be with Cory Shane Disotel, 47, of Port Barre, according to Chief Deon Boudreaux.

DS, 15, is described as five feet two inches tall, weighs 105 pounds, has light brown hair and blue/ hazel eyes.

I couldn't remember where Port Barre was so I had to look it up. It's on Bayou Teche and it doesn't appear to be far from the Atchafalaya Basin, if not part of it. The Atchafalaya Basin is the largest swampland in the US - a LOT places there to hide someone.

The nearest town of any size is Opelousas (pop 25K), about 10 miles to the west, then you have Lafayette to the south about 30 miles away. I am surprised Lafayette media is not doing more to cover this. What really has me stumped is why can't I find an Amber Alert for Domeanna? Doesn't she meet the criteria? If there is an Amber Alert, I can't find it.

More like a drivers license. It does appear voluntary but obviously she cannot consent at her age.

She’s 15 and he’s 47... No matter what she thinks/believes/feels this is a crime and would not actually be considered consensual
