Details of Disappearance​

Treadwell was last seen in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana on September 9, 2016. He was visiting a relative in the 5000 block of Louisiana Highway 117 when he became upset about a family member's illness and ran into the woods. He has never been heard from again. <<Deputies are currently looking for 45-year-old James D. Treadwell, W/M, Hgt/510, Wgt/180, Hair/Brown-Crew Cut, last seen wearing blue jeans, white tennis shoes and no shirt of Alexandria, La. who was reported missing by his mother and sister to the NPSO on Friday afternoon, September 9th at approximately 4:10pm.

Deputies say Treadwell and his mother were visiting a family member in the 5000 block of La. Hwy 117 south of Bellwood, La., on Friday afternoon, when Treadwell became upset over a family member’s illness and ran into the woods.>>

<<Since that time, volunteers, and NPSO Deputies along with the assistance of DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office Air Support and US Forest Service have searched several hundred acres of thick woods by air and ground with dogs and all terrain vehicles and have not been able to locate Treadwell.>>
