IMMEDIATE PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUESTED - PLEASE SHARE - MISSING PERSON WITH AUTISM
On Wednesday, November 15, 2022 at approximately 10:48PM, the Gretna Police Department responded to the 800 block of Amelia Street, in reference to a missing person.
The responding officers were met by the complainant regarding her 18 year old son, identified as Jevsel Carranza who suffers from a severe case of autism. The complainant advised at approximately 4:30PM on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 her son went to play with nearby neighborhood children. Then at approximately 8:30PM the complainant realized her son did not return inside.
After exhausting all avenues to locate her son, the Gretna Police Department was notified at approximately 10:48PM on November 15, 2022.
Jevsel Carranza is described as a white male, 18 years of age, brown eyes and black hair. Jevsel is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 110 pounds and last seen wearing a short sleeve all pink t-shirt, black shorts with red and black tennis shoes.
Jevsal Carranza does not speak English and recently moved to Gretna from Honduras approximately two months ago, and is not familiar with the area.
Jevsel Carranza is listed as a missing person by the Gretna Police Department.

UPDATE - JEVSEL HAS BEEN LOCATED: Thank you all for your assistance with the search for Jevsel Carranza. He has been located in good physical condition, and has been reconnected with his loved ones.
