Louisiana homicide detectives are searching for a mom and son who’ve not been seen since March 5.

According to ABC 2, 24-year-old Kaylen Johnson’s last known address is at 11888 Old Hammond Highway in Baton Rouge. Police she Johnson and her 2-year-old child, Kaden Johnson, are missing but haven’t given any additional details.

Kaylen is described as a Black female who stands 5-feet tall and weighs around 105 pounds.

“She told her friend that she had just made it home. She wanted to take a bath and get something to eat, and that was the last time anybody heard from her," said April Johnson, Kaylen's mother.

The two lived in an apartment on Old Hammond Highway. After their disappearance, Kaylen's car was found abandoned at an apartment complex on Sherwood Meadow Drive.

The vehicle was locked and missing its license plate. It also appeared that someone else had been driving it.

"We looked inside, and the seat was all the way back. She's short. She can't drive like that, and she can't see. So she sits up under the steering wheel," said Tiara Johnson, Kaylen's sister.

Family members said Kaylen's boyfriend, who lives near where the vehicle was found, was babysitting Kayden the day both disappeared.

Kaylen's relatives said police have not told them much about the investigation. As of Sunday, police said they had not found any clear signs of foul play.

Sources told WBRZ Murphy confessed to shooting and killing Kaylen in the parking lot of his apartment complex on N Harrells Ferry. Murphy allegedly then dumped her body along Burbank Drive.

Sources said Murphy ditched the gun in the Burbank woods and then drove to the Central Thruway and threw Kaden, still alive, over the bridge.

Sources told WBRZ Murphy said he heard the child cry after he threw the child over the bridge. He drove away away as Kaden was crying and left the vehicle on a dead-end street closer to Harell's Ferry.
