I looked her up on Ancestry and there is an address for her listed as 715 Brashear Ave Morgan City, LA. There is an unidentified Jane Doe found in Morgan City, LA and when you click the map link on NAMUS for this Jane Doe it goes to Brashear Ave! The body was estimated to have been there for about 3 months and was found in November 1981 which matches exactly with when she went missing. I think I will turn that in but I'm wondering if they already know that and they are putting her in NAMUS to do DNA. Doesn't hurt to turn it in just in case I guess?

Wow, great find. It looks as if this Jane Doe is probably Kerry Tate. This might be why Kerry was recently added to NamUs. I assume LE is probably looking into this, but it doesn't hurt to make sure.

It never hurts to double or triple check. I never assume LE is looking into anything due to many reasons (understaffed, no cold case investigators etc). Great find Jules39osu! Keep us posted.

UPDATE: I found out my grandfather has passed away years ago. I did a DNA swab for Louisiana to see if a deceased female is my aunt still waiting to hear back..............My mom passed away in 2014...

I did a DNA swab for Louisiana to see if a deceased female is my aunt still waiting to hear back..............My mom passed away in 2014 up until the day she died she had been looking for her sister who disappeared when I was around 8 months old from Alabama, I'm now 41. I have no idea what she would look like I only have one picture when she was really young. My grandparents divorced I would say around the time my mom was 1-2 since my grandma remarried when my mom was 3. Her name is Kerry Lynn Tate that was the name she was born with. She also went by Kerry Freeman she was born on a military base on March 21, 1956 at Fairchild Air Force Base Spokane Washington Linda Gail Darden Tate and George Harry Tate are her parents. Kerry also lived in Alabama when she was young. My grandma still lives in the house my aunt's and mom grew up in
Kerry’s last known location was Walker, Louisiana. The one on the left is Kerry the one on the right is my mom Leslie. After posting this someone sent me her high school picture>>
