BIENVILLE PARISH, La. (KSLA) - On Tuesday, Jan. 10, family members of 43-year-old Kimberly Moore spoke to KSLA about what they think happened to the missing woman.

According to Bienville Parish Sheriff John Ballance, Vernon Parker was found fatally shot on Sunday, Dec. 31 in his car. The following day, Ballance received a call from Moore’s family who reported the Ringgold woman as missing.

Last seen by a relative on at about 11:30 p.m. the same day, investigators have since learned that Moore and Parker had become acquaintances and that they were seen together on New Year’s Eve. Not only is her family concerned about her whereabouts, Bienville sheriff’s investigators believe Moore might have witnessed the homicide.

BIENVILLE PARISH, La. (KSLA) - Kimberly Moore is still missing after disappearing in early January, and her family wants answers.

Moore, 43, is a native of Ringgold. Her family says she moved back to Louisiana from Texas around Thanksgiving of 2022. She was living between Coushatta and Ringgold. And whether she’s dead or alive, her family says they just want closure.

On Tuesday, April 11, KSLA’s Jasmine Franklin spoke with Moore’s sister, who says the guy she was last with was a friend and they don’t think he’s involved in her disappearance. Family members have been searching for months now, with no new leads.

Details of Disappearance​

Moore was last seen at a party on Hall Street in Ringgold, Louisiana at 11:30 p.m. on December 31, 2022. She had moved from Dallas, Texas to Louisiana around Thanksgiving of 2022 and was living with a man, Vernon Parker, at the time of her disappearance. She has never been heard from again.

At 8:15 p.m. on January 1, less than a day after Moore was last seen, Parker was found dead of a gunshot wound in the backseat of his own car, which had been left running with the rear passenger door open in the middle of Pleasant Road, south of Ringgold. Authorities stated they have a person of interest in the murder and think Moore could have witnessed the crime.

Her case remains unsolved.

There's a case in Collin County, TX from 2020 : 2021-BK-05111 / 366-81100-2021 / 366-83761-2020 - All the court records and the page with her mugshot from those list her as 5'2" and 120 lbs.

That seems to be a significant difference in height.
