Laquesha Williams was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of Criminal Neglect of Family. Detectives contacted the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services to ensure the children’s ongoing safety and well-being.

What was the point of reporting them missing? Did she expect them to walk home, but then they didn’t show up? Not meaning to make light of the situation but I’m unclear about what here constitutes neglect. Many 11/12 year olds can manage just fine walking alone. I wonder if she left them on a highway or somewhere dangerous. MOO
