SHREVEPORT, La. - Authorities need your help locating a missing Shreveport woman who has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia.

Latasha Specks, 37, was last seen on Sept. 22 wearing a pink shirt, black pants, and carrying a pink bag.

Latasha, is described as a black female, standing 5'4" tall and weighing 180 lbs.

Latasha is homeless and frequents the downtown area where she has been seen in the past sleeping on benches near the 500 block of Milam.

Anyone with information on Latasha's whereabouts is urged to contact Det. J. Gaddy (318) 673-7020.

Latasha Specks, 36, of Bossier City who was reported missing to Bossier City police was located in Wednesday evening in Shreveport.

glad she has been found alive and safe, absolutely. I hope that she is able to reconnect with her family, who reported her missing.


but sad to read that she is homeless BUT she has family concerned enough to report that she was missing after just a couple of days.

I get it, I do, but it is still sad... that it sometimes comes to that, for far too many people IMO.
