I feel so bad for this man's family! I went down the rabbit hole of her Facebook and those of her associates.....such a sad, dark life .

Loud argument, struggle heard from hotel room before jewelry store owner found dead: NOPD

Two people who were staying in another room at the hotel told police that they “heard a male and female arguing very loudly” inside the room that Hall and Murphy had checked into, at about 3:30 a.m. They heard a struggle, and the woman yelled “Get in the bathroom,” the witnesses said. The struggle only lasted about two minutes before “they ceased to hear commotion” from the room, according to the affidavit.

"A New Orleans detective testified in an Orleans Parrish magistrate court Thursday that Schuylkill County jeweler Patrick Murphy was stabbed three times in his hotel room near the French Quarter days before Mardi Gras.

After hearing the detective’s testimony, Magistrate Commissioner Jonathan Friedman determined that enough probable cause existed to uphold second-degree murder charges against Megan Hall, the 25-year-old woman accused of killing the prominent businessman on Feb. 28, according to The New Orleans Advocate.

Friedman also denied Hall’s requests to lower her bail, which had been set at $750,000, but said her attorney could file a motion to request a bail reduction at a later time, the Advocate reported. If convicted of second-degree murder, Hall can face a life sentence without parole...."

"NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- A Tennessee woman faces a second-degree murder charge in connection with the stabbing death of a Pennsylvania jeweler in New Orleans.

The New Orleans District Attorney's Office says 25-year-old Magen Hall was indicted Thursday. Hall's name also appears as Megan Hall on some court records.

She faces a mandatory life sentence if convicted as charged in the death of 62-year-old Patrick Murphy...

Hall was arrested March 3 and jailed with bond set at $750,000. Hall also faces an armed robbery charge. She hasn't entered a plea."

She is charged with second-degree murder, armed robbery and obstruction of justice after a grand jury voted to indict her in June. Prosecutors and police said Hall stabbed Murphy Feb. 28...."

The trial of Hall, 26, of Tennessee, will start on Jan. 7, Ken Daley, a spokesman for Orleans Parish District Attorney Leon A. Cannizzaro Jr., said Tuesday.

Hall’s lawyer, John Fuller, and Assistant District Attorney Inga Petrovich each had another trial scheduled to start Tuesday, necessitating the continuance, according to Daley...."
