NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Departments needs the public’s help locating a missing man they say may become violent without his medication.

Robert Hitchings was last heard from Sunday in the 7700 block of Walmsley Street.

The person who reported Hitchings missing said he suffers from a mental disorder and may be in need of his medication. He can become very violent if he does not take his medication, according to police.

Hitchings has not been seen or heard from since.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Hitchings is urged to call NOPD at 911 or any Second District detective at 504-658-6020.
